A center feed collinear has a radiating element that more evenly feeds a signal of the appropriate amplitude and phase.
In a bottom-fed design, the signal reaching the upper element already experiences significant amplitude and phase degradation.
In most cases, the upper elements of the end-fed design contribute little to the final composite gain and pattern of the antenna.
In the MHZ-TD-2700-01, internal copper hard wires provide a low loss path for the central splitting and phasing components of the antenna.
The brass radiating element of the MHZ-TD-2700-01 utilizes an air dielectric for lowest losses and excellent radiation efficiency. The design is factory tuned for superior performance.
